The brand Paper Wings is by Action Center For Transformation (ACT) under the program Kaagaz Ke Pankh to create an opportunity out of two problems, i.e., waste in urban areas and lack of sustainable livelihood for women in rural areas. Kaagaz Ke Pankh is ACT’s signature program, which adopts a social enterprise model to develop the skills of rural women on one hand and eco-friendly waste management on the other. The mission is to generate sustainable livelihoods by upcycling waste to resources. ACT has trained these women to manufacture upcycled paper products and manage supply chain logistics, quality management, and marketing to empower them for financial independence and self-sufficiency.
